About me
.
.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s in a small rural town, went through K-12 with the same kids.
I have three kids, 15 grandkids and 11 great grandkids!
We knew what respect was & how to show it, the difference between right & wrong and if we didn't then we learned what an azz whippin was.
We said yes ma'am, yes sir, never used first names and we always said please and thank you.
We showed respect for our teachers, didn't bully anyone, we didn't shame anyone for their weight, clothes or where they lived.
We ate what was on our plate and didn't ask for what we didn't see.
A bag of groceries was probably $25 dollars for a brown paper bag full.
We could trade in our pop bottles for a nickel or dime each.
After babysitting for 50 cents an hour my first job was nurse's aide for $1.65 an hour minimum wage.
We grew up with strong family ties, great role models with morals and ethics and we used encyclopedias and dictionaries instead of 'Ask Google.'
And God was always a part of it all!
We need another man like these as president!
